Lake Kickapoo Reservoir is a small community and favorite weekend destination. This multi-purpose lake is located thirty miles southwest of Wichita Falls. It was opened in the late '40s and now spans 6,000 square acres. Kickapoo's waters are prime for fishing, boating, waterskiing, and swimming. Designated campsites, boat ramps, and courtesy boat docks are available as well. The lake is a great place to get away from the worries of city life.
