Lake Kickapoo Reservoir is a small community and favorite weekend destination. This multi-purpose lake is located thirty miles southwest of Wichita Falls. It was opened in the late '40s and now spans 6,000 square acres. Kickapoo's waters are prime for fishing, boating, waterskiing, and swimming. Designated camp sites, boat ramps, and courtesy boat docks are available as well. The lake is a great place to get away from the worries of city life.

Mark those calendars now for! The Lake Kickapoo Volunteer Fire Dept. 2014 Annual Catfish Fry. June 14th @5pm at the Lake Kickapoo VFD Fire Station. All You can eat fish, fries, beans, slaw and fixins. There will be a bake auction and raffle afterwards. Contact any LKVFD Firefighter to purchase raffle tickets for two grand prizes of 1/2 butchered beef generously donated by John Hawley.
